Film Production
Buckle Up Films create both documentaries and narrative films.
Art Buff, a 15-minute documentary about Banksy's artwork of the same name is Buckle Up Films first production. It will premiere at film festivals in 2021.
Co-founders Hannah and Mats were classmates from 2003 studying a BA in Film & Video at The Surrey Institute of Art & Design. During their studies, both shot several films on 16mm film. Shooting on film, editing on a Steenbeck flatbed film editing table, cutting the film by hand and splicing the cut film together again, taught them a lot of technical skills. It also taught them discipline in the production and post-production of filmmaking which has influenced their approach to digital filmmaking.

Currently in Production: feature documentary about an area in Kent where 51% of children live below the poverty line. The community aimed to use creativity to improve the lives of the residents. But COVID-19 hugely challenged every aspect of their plans.

Currently in development: two feature-length documentaries, one docuseries and two short narrative films.
